Resumé:
Polynomial system solving arises in many areas of engineering sciences. In this PhD, we focus on polynomial systems enjoying some particular structure arising frequently in applications. We will focus on so-called determinantal systems (encoding rank deficiencies in matrices with polynomial entries) and systems which are invariant by the action of the symmetric group.
