Resumé: The methods of participation and how to organize it in the traditional off-line context have been extensively studied in the literature. However, there is still no clear method for participation at the urban-scale where individuals may participate using heterogeneous and mobile technologies. Building upon our experience on online participatory democracy in the context of the AppCivist (https://appcivist.org) and the SocialBus (https://gitlab.inria.fr/usnb/universal-social-network-bus) research & innovation projects, this work will focus on the study of solutions that leverage distributed version-control systems to support collaborative ideation and contribution at urban-scale, adapting free and open-source software development models.
